The Camera

History

1. Joseph Nicéphore Niépce.

2. He used a silver-plated sheet of copper.

3. Landscape photography.

4. Shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.

Metering

5. Matrix/Evaluative metering, Center-weighted metering, and Spot metering.

6. For closeup and photos that have relatively large subjects in the middle of the frame.

7. Taking pictures of the moon.

Camera Modes

8. Program, Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, and Manual.

9. In Shutter Priority mode you manually set the shutter speed and the camera will automatically set the aperture and vice versa.

Focus

10. Autofocus is set automatically by the camera to focus on a chosen subject, but manual focus allows you to fix the focus yourself if your camera is having trouble or to make precise adjustments to your liking.

11. I think autofocus is best for most circumstances because it is a quick way to be able to get it to your way.

Flash

12. When shooting ballrooms, churches, weddings, and corporate receptions.

13. When a person is in a shadow, when shooting backlit, to overpower the sun, and to avoid environmental color casts.

Video

14. You use a tripod to maintain focus with no shaking and to pan easily.

15. No because auto focusing in a video creates a lot of noise.

16. Shoot 50% closeups, 25% medium shots, and 25% wide shots.

Histogram

17. A tool to more precisely judge exposure on a digital photo.

18. Shows data mostly on the left and may look under-exposed.

19. Shows data mostly on the right and may look over-exposed.

20. A tool that can take out a portion of a photo.
